The fourth day brings an exhilarating trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, followed by a climb to Chandrashila, offering panoramic views of the mighty Himalayan peaks. The adventure continues on day five with a drive to Badrinath, another sacred pilgrimage site, and a visit to Mana Village, the last Indian settlement near the Indo-Tibetan border. Finally, on the sixth day, bid farewell to the mountains as you journey back to Rishikesh or Haridwar, completing this soul-enriching experience. This tour perfectly blends spirituality, adventure, and nature, leaving you with lifelong memories of the Himalayas’ beauty and serenity.

➩ Itinerary

Our journey begins with a pickup from Haridwar, a city renowned for its spiritual heritage and vibrant culture. From there, we will embark on a scenic drive to Sonprayag, covering a distance of approximately 233 km in about 7 hours. To ensure a comfortable experience, we will make stops for refreshments and short breaks as needed.

As we approach Sonprayag, which sits at an elevation of 1,829 meters, you will witness a remarkable transformation in the landscape. The journey takes you through lush greenery, rolling hills, and diverse wildlife, with noticeable changes in air quality and temperature as we ascend.

Sonprayag is not just a picturesque destination but also holds deep spiritual significance. According to legend, it is the sacred site where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were united in marriage. This belief makes it an important pilgrimage site, attracting devotees and travelers seeking a connection with nature and spirituality.

With its breathtaking views and cultural richness, this journey promises to be both memorable and meaningful.

On the second day of our journey, we set off for Kedarnath after a restful night in Sonprayag. This leg of the trip involves a 16-kilometer trek, so get ready for an exciting and energizing adventure. Trekking not only strengthens the body but also refreshes the soul.

Our journey begins with a taxi ride to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek. To ensure timely completion, the trek starts as early as 4 AM. The hike takes approximately 6.5 hours, leading to the revered Kedarnath temple, one of India's most sacred pilgrimage sites.

Along the way, you will witness breathtaking landscapes and pass through notable spots like Bheem Bali and Jungle Chatti, which offer scenic beauty and opportunities to rest. The trail ascends to an altitude of 3,583 meters, making it a physically demanding journey. Due to the high elevation, travelers with respiratory conditions should undergo a medical check-up before embarking on the trek.

For those who prefer an alternative to walking, options such as palkis (palanquins), mules, or Kandi (carriers) are available, ensuring a comfortable journey to the holy site.

On the third day of our journey, we begin our descent to Sonprayag, taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. The downhill trek offers a refreshing experience, but some sections can be steep and slippery, so it’s important to tread carefully and take necessary precautions.

Upon reaching Gaurikund, you will have some time to relax and soak in the serene and spiritual atmosphere of this sacred place. Afterward, we embark on a 35-kilometer drive to Chopta, where we will settle in for the night.

Chopta, often called the ‘Mini Switzerland of India,’ is known for its tranquil ambiance and stunning night sky. Make sure to rest well and take in the beauty of the starry skies, as we prepare for the next leg of our journey the following day.

On the fourth day, get ready to witness the mesmerizing beauty of Chandrashila Peak and Tungnath Temple. Our journey begins with a scenic 4 km trek from Chopta to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world.

Throughout the trek, you’ll be surrounded by stunning landscapes—snow-draped trails in winter and lush green meadows in spring. No matter the season, this trail offers breathtaking views, making it a must-visit year-round destination.

Upon reaching Tungnath, prepare to be captivated by the awe-inspiring scenery. From here, we ascend further to Chandrashila Peak, where you’ll be greeted with panoramic views of the majestic Chaukhamba and Nanda Devi ranges. Standing at this incredible height, you’ll experience an unforgettable sense of being on top of the world.

After taking in the spectacular sights, we will begin our descent back to Chopta. As night falls, don’t forget to gaze at the starlit sky, adding yet another magical moment to your journey.

4o

After an early breakfast, we set off on a scenic drive from Chopta to Badrinath, a journey that takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some time to relax with a light snack before heading for the temple darshan at Badrinath, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India.

Following the temple visit, you will have the opportunity to explore Bharat Darshan and then make your way to the picturesque Mana Village, located just 3 miles from Badrinath. Known as the last Indian village before the Tibet border, Mana is rich in cultural and mythological significance. Here, you can visit the famous Ganesh Gufa (cave) and Ved Vyasa Gufa, believed to be the spot where the Mahabharata was written.

After exploring Mana Village, we return to Badrinath, where you will spend the night, resting and preparing for the next leg of your journey.

On the final day of our journey, after experiencing the divine darshan at Badrinath and capturing its breathtaking beauty in your heart, soul, and camera, we begin our return trip to Rishikesh or Haridwar. This drive, covering a distance of several hundred kilometers, will take approximately 9 to 10 hours.

As we make our way back, enjoy the ever-changing landscapes, passing through lush forests, sparkling streams, and serene valleys. We will ensure a smooth and comfortable journey with necessary breaks along the way.

Your feedback is always valued, as it helps us enhance our services and create even more memorable experiences. Upon reaching Haridwar or Rishikesh, you will have the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a perfect way to conclude this spiritually enriching adventure.
